I have been going to essence of dentistry for 12 years and enjoy the care that Dr Allison Han and her team provide. They are thorough and efficient. Recently Dr Allison introduced me to Microabrasion form of deep cleaning and I found such a difference in how my teeth felt overall and it lasted longer. When I came for my next check up I asked for this treatment again as I knew the benefit and I didn’t mind paying the extra charge for it.

Essence of Dentistry is constantly improving their technology and patient care! I’m so excited about my recent visit. I went in for a cleaning after just getting my braces off. I had many concerns about stains and am always a bit tense about the scraping part of metal instruments removing tatar buildup, especially under the gum. I shared my concerns and ideas with Lily, my dental hygienist. I was ready to sign up for the amazing teeth whitening technology they have there that unfortunately isn’t covered under insurance so it’s a tad pricy (worth every penny) but Lily recommended micro-abrasion as part of the cleaning to remove stains and brighten my smile for only $59. And, to my surprise she used an ultrasonic cleaner rather than any metal scrapers to remove all of the tough build up in just minutes. My appointment took half the time with twice the results at a fraction of the cost I expected to pay for this visit. Thank you for continuing to improve your technology and for looking for ways to make your patients more comfortable, including saving some money when you can. I love my bright smile again. Todd

I have been here for about 5 years. Dr. Han has always been really good and helpful. My front tooth chipped and I was able to get an urgent filling appointment the next day. After the filling, I also went through a deprogramming process which seems time consuming at the first glance but the effect is really great.

Dr. Han and her team are wonderful. -Double crown on molars done with minimal pain and sensitivity. -A dental plan proactively addresses eventual issues; items identified are triaged from "urgent" to "can be done at a later time". -Front staff is courteous, knowledgable, and thorough with regards to insurance and out of pocket expenses.
Recently I had deep cleaning and crown installation at Essence of Dentistry. Dr Han and nurses are super nice. I am pretty sensitive for gagging. So they treated me very gently and made me much more comfortable. I got more breaking time and also learnt from them to get used to it with deep breathing tricks. And it works! I felt I'm not just a patient to them but also a family member which needs special care with their hearts. I really like that experience and I finally get the confidence to go back more frequently for routine teeth cleaning.

I preferred local anesthesia for my wisdom teeth’s extraction. My friend recommended me to this clinic. Dr An was very patient. He asked me my feeling and made sure I feel comfortable. And he did the surgery much quicker than I expected which released a lot of pressure for me. And I feel comfortable and no pain during the extraction. I used nitrogen gas but Dr An really did a great job which made me feel I would even be ok if I didn’t use it, it is not scared as I imaged. But if someone is afraid of the surgery, I still recommend it.

Dr. Han was so beyond accommodating and every doctor, hygienist, and receptionists are so friendly giving you ease and decreased my anxiety. These are great people to deal with, friendly and eager to help. Good location, right on Redmond Way, easy to find and parking in the back. The small location appealed to me, as opposed to being located in a big complex where you can get lost trying to find your doctor. The doctors inspired confidence, Dr. An is very friendly and listens, he actually wants to know your concerns! He had a light touch, was willing to help me through the anesthesia. I am pain sensitive and he did his best to make sure it wasn't traumatic for me, which I really appreciated. He's straight forward about what you need but is not condescending, which for me counts for a lot. I would definitely recommend these guys, I haven't had confidence in a dentist in years, but I do now!
I have been with Dr Han for years. The best that I like about her is her focus on quality. She always provides professional recommendations on the service that I need. I had very bad teeth before and have to replace a few crowns. I also have to do two implants. My first implant was very challenging and she actually asked the lab to do it three times to ensure the good quality. I did not ask for the remake and actually thought the 2nd time was acceptable. But she told me that she would rather to remake it again to ensure it is perfect cause I will have it for years. That is how she gain my trust. I even have my kids with her now and they all like her too. Highly recommended.

I didn’t take care of my teeth as a teen and young adult, and after avoiding dentists over the following years I found myself in the hands of this caring team. I needed quite a bit of help/work, and now after I believe 7 years I am in a much better place. With no judgement and nothing but compassion, Alison and team came up with a plan to get my mouth into the great place I’m in today! My experience has been perfect and I would recommend Essence of Dentistry to anyone looking for a new dentist!

Awesome dental office! This is my first time going to a dentist in the U.S, and I was blew away with their skills and service. The assistants are really nice, and Dr Han and Lisa took really good care of me. They were explaining to me each steps they performed on my teeth, which is super comforting and supportive, and helped me a lot from getting over my fear of dentist. Highly recommend this place for their outstanding customer service, friendliness and skills.
Me and my wife have been here a couple of times and we really loved the experience. Dr. Han is awesome to work with. So is Dr. Michael An. When we came we were a little scared. However, they calmed us down and really explained the procedure and did everything in an amazing way. The front office is also super helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended.
It’s always a pleasure to visit Dr Han. I have been going to her for over 15 years. I have had deep cleanings, root canals and regular cleanings and I have no complaints! She always provides me with options and never makes me feel obligated to do anything. She is the best!
Dr. Han has been my dentist for almost 10 years. She is very professional, kind and patient. I am very grateful for her services, especially the recent treatment of my gum disease. I experienced severe pain due to gum infection on a Saturday morning and don’t know what to do. I texted her and she responded immediately and scheduled an early morning appointment. She did a procedure to drain pus and I got so much better afterwards. I fully recovered in the next couple of days. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for a dentist. She can also speak mandarin, so it will be very helpful if your native tongue is Chinese.
I have been going for over 5 yrs now and always had good experience. They try to accommodate any sudden needs or emergency. Sometimes we might have to wait a little bit, but they are flexible too when we go late by few minutes. Overall we are pretty happy with the service and care that's taken by Dr. Han.
Dr. Han is the best dentist I have ever been seen by. Her staff is friendly and helpful from the front desk to her assistants. I’ve been very reluctant to go to a dentist in past years due to the sounds and smells of the dentist office. She has made me feel comfortable and is very understanding with my dental situation. Mostly a great experience. Great team, great care. Doctor Han is the best dental restoration expert I know, and I fully trust her with my (heavy) dental care needs. The team is great too, and knows how to make patients comfortable, and the whole place is clean and welcoming. Some people below called this office "money lovers". I disagree. I believe they genuinely want to do what's best for their patients, and might sometimes forget we're all on a budget and there needs to be a balance between the prestations and the cost. Just make sure to double check the details of what your getting done, and you'll be just fine.

Essence of Dentistry is definitely my dentist-to-go place. I have been seeing Dr Han for almost 6 years, and have done cleaning, teeth filling and crown in their office. The BEST dentist I've been to. Dr. Han, her private practice, and team have provided me with the highest quality service I've experienced from any practice with cleaning, fillings, retainers, mouth guards, and protection for exposed tooth nerves due to receding gums. Dr. Han is intelligent, personable, and makes logical recommendations to improve your holistic oral health. She will work with your budget to provide you a plan and great service. She hires great employees and trains them well as they are very knowledgeable, skilled, and were able answer all my questions.

I started going to Essence of Dentistry as a kid when I first moved to Washington in 2013, and I'm still going there to this day. Dr.Han and her team are excellent, it's easy to make and cancel appointments, and they're always willing to explain to you what's going on. I had some hesitations during the pandemic about going in, but they did a great job protecting us, with excellent personal protection for staff members and great safety measures for clients coming in(open windows, air filters, social distancing, temperature screening, germ-killing mouth wash, the works). I've had cavities filled here, along with getting all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr.Han. The fillings were a breeze, Dr.Han is always willing to listen to what you're worried about and explain how they plan on doing the procedure. I was particularly worried about getting my wisdom teeth removed as I had always heard such painful stories, but Dr.Han got them out with just some local aesthetic. I felt nothing but a slight tugging and only needed a little Advil for a few days after. If you're looking for an excellent dentist who can easily answer any of your questions, look no further as Dr. Han, and her team have you covered.

I have been going to Essence of Dentistry for over 10 years and they have been nothing but amazing everytime. I was scared of the dentist before, but at Essence they explain everything they are doing and they take the time to check that you understand and are ok with what is being done. The building is clean and comfortable and all the staff is friendly.
Always a positive experience when I go to Essence of dentistry. I've been a patient for two years and my oral health is at its finest. Dr. Han does excellent work and it's always easy to stay relaxed during various types of appointments and everything being done is explained prior to and during. The staff has a done a terrific job in taking precautions and preventative measures since reopening after the COVID-19 outbreak - ventilation systems, temperature screening, PPE and additional cleaning.
My family has been seeing Dr Han & her staff for almost 10 yrs. All other dentists we had seen often tried to push us for extra service when they noticed our insurance coverage was good. But not the case for this office. She is honest and only make recommendations based on real needs.
I had great experience here with Dr. Han and her team! It is very easy to make appointments and they did a great job during the pandemic. I have never tried deep cleaning before and was afraid of it when Dr. Han told me that they would clean under my gum line. Dr. Han and her team are very patient and informative. The great staff eliminated not only my concerns for deep cleaning but also the unpleasant symptoms that I had for months. One of the best parts of my deep cleaning is that I experienced ZERO side effects after the service, no soreness or bleeding. Besides that, I also had my routine cleaning, fillings and periodontal maintenance here. Great staff and excellent services!

I've been seeing Dr. Han for roughly 8 years and I have never been happier. No matter what my appointment is, I know I am in good hands. Dr. Han walks me through everything, making sure I understand exactly what she is talking about and any additional work I may need. Essence of Dentisy is an amazing practice. Dr. Alison and her staff are really nice and support you. Even with a fear of needles, Dr. Han was really understanding and explained everything along the way, thoroughly. I recommend this office.

I just moved to Seattle/Redmond area last year, and have been looking for a great dental clinic. One of my friend recommended Essence Of Dentistry to me, and I decided to have a try first. I am glad that I decided to going to Essence of Dentistry. My family has great experience with Essence of Dentistry. The Professionalism and service they provided really impressed me a lot. Dr. Han really cares her patients, she always listens to her patients carefully and design the optimal therapeutic schedule for them (best treatment without unnecessary procedures). My teeth have the best treatment in Essence of Dentistry. Another reason I like Essence of Dentistry is everybody in the office is friendly. Especially Lisa, Sarah and Hannah. Every time when I go there, the feeling is just like to see friends.
I've been coming to see Dr. Han for about 10 years now. Before that, I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time and my gums especially were in pretty rough shape... After she worked with me to get them healthy again, I kept going to Dr. Han because she and the entire staff were so friendly and I was always happy with the care I got there. Recently I moved out of the country for my Redmond based employer and decided to stick with Dr. Han, even while living in Europe, for the same reasons. The effort of squeezing in a dentist appointment during my visits back to Seattle for work is worth it for me to stick with her. Oh, and if you visit Dr. Han, make sure to ask her about the most difficult wisdom tooth extraction she ever did (it wasn't THAT bad...) ;)
It’s been almost 4 years since we started going to Essence of Dentistry. Me, my husband and our 6yo daughter are extremely happy with the level of professionalism and service provided. Even after relocating some 15 miles away we still prefer to go see Dr.Han for all our dental needs. She is always attentive, she takes time to assess the situation and listens carefully to her patients and their concerns. She never suggests any unnecessary procedures, but expresses her opinion and explains things in a simple and easy-to-understand way. My teeth have never been this healthy and good looking. I don’t dread my appointments as I used to with other dentists. Everybody in the office is friendly, helpful and competent. It’s always nice to see my favorite faces when I go there, especially Sara, Hannah and Lily. With that being said, we are devoted clients and are very thankful for having Dr.Han as our dentist!
I had a great experience here. We recently moved to Redmond and just googled this clinic and decided to give it a try. It was out of my expectation. All the staff are super helpful. The front desk helps plan out the cost, the hygienist cleans the teeth and also educational. Dr.Han is very professional and friendly. Plus, Dr Han speaks Mandarin. 5 stars.
This is absolutely a stellar team of professionals. They focus on excellence while being compassionate and honest with a humanistic approach. I went to my dentist today, people are very pleasant and welcoming. Before I was afraid of dentists, but after going to Essence of Dentistry I was able to overcome my fear of dentists. Thank you to everyone at essence of dentistry.
The dentist and the hygienists are very friendly and professionally capable. I have been to quite a few dental offices in other cities, this one is the most gentle clinics taking care of my teeth and gum. That being said, this is also the first dental office that repeatedly keeps telling my that my gum disease is severe and that may very likely lead to a heart attack (Wat the heck?? that link has never been proven yet scientifically). As such, they recommend doing deep cleaning and more frequent teeth cleaning as allowed by my insurance. Sometimes, that makes me feel like a hopeless cancer patient with a terminally ill disease. At certain point, it was so frustrating that I would almost show my temper in their face - but I'm glad I had a good control of myself. I am not saying they are bad, they are great people trying to help, but I sometimes just think there could be a better way for them to tell me the same story.
My whole family goes. They all care and are great at what they do. I love this office!
I couldn't be more happy with my teeth. I have had so much trouble with them and to be honest I was at a loss of what to do. Dr Alison gave me options and was honest and up front about everything she did. I have already recommended her to several friends. I would highly recommend her for you.

It is hard to find a good dentist. There are so many bad options out there. The moment you enter Essence of Dentistry you will notice the difference. Every there wants what's best for you from the front office, to the hygienst, to Dr Han. They try to explain everything to you and are always up front. Dr. Han and her whole staff are terrific. I've had a lot of fear of dentists in the past, but I actually look forward to my visits and miss everyone when I have a long interval between appointments. Dr. Han takes the time to be sure she gets it right, but I'm never kept waiting.

I enjoyed having Dr. Han and Lisa as my primary dental provider and it is unfortunate that I have to leave them because I am moving down in Vancouver, Washington. Dr. Han has been my dentist for more than two years now, and we've been through lots of fillings, veneers, and an extraction as well. Every time I received nothing but highly professional treatment in kind and caring hands from Dr. Han and staff. And they put the patient's interest first other than just making big bucks which I personally really appreciate. Don't think I will ever go to another one as long as I'm in Seattle area. I’ve had a lot of dental work done in the early 70’s which created adult anxiety toward dental work. My friends recommended Dr. Han and I have been extremely satisfied!! Not only have I become comfortable with my routine checkups, I had conferred with Dr. Han to plan for repairing all the dental work done in the 70’s. She clearly understood my apprehension; we planned how to divide the work and how to keep my anxiety down. She did all the repairs in two painless visits with zero recuperation needed. I’m thrilled with the results.
I had a great experience on extracting my wisdom teeth with Dr. Han. I had expected several painful days during and after the operation. But to my surprise, the extraction only took less than 5 minutes and almost no pain at all. I also didn't feel any pain when I got home and the days after. I almost forgot that I shouldn't use that side to chew from time to time. Highly recommended!

Having been afraid of the dentist chair, I am glad to have met Dr Alison Han and her team. I came in as an emergency patient, needing urgent care for gum disease that was quickly getting worse. Alison is a caring dentist with a strong devotion to the patient and thoroughly speaks what the procedure is about and what's gonna happen. The staff is always friendly and the first priority is the patient's comfort. All treatments carried out by Alison and her hygienists were absolutely painless. That includes the puncture of the syringe to inject the anesthetics. Also her hygienists are well capable of handling this procedure. After I have met Alison and her team, I have no hesitation to go to my appointments for dental care anymore.
Dr. Han is a great dentist. The staff is very friendly and I have had great experiences here. Dr. Han is very honest about where you are falling short in your dental health and suggests the appropriate remedies. I would recommend going along with her suggestions because in my case. they really helped. I had my deep cleaning done and my gums have shown remarkable recovery. Never lie to your dentist and you will keep your teeth for a long time!
I've been a patient for about 3 years now. At first I thought the prices were a bit high, BUT I had relocated from Florida where everything is less expensive (just the way it is). I have had 2 crowns done by Dr. Han on teeth that had 35 year old filling in them and had become cracked. 5-STAR WORK! The cost was less out of pocket than it was for an inferior crown job done down in Florida. Dr. Han and the staff were meticulous in fitting the crowns and they look and feel fantastic. Her work is extraordinary. Dr. Han's operation is top notch. I'm a tough customer and I could not be more pleased with the work. I have had to have a lot of dental work done the last few years following a long period of not seeing a dentist because I had poor insurance coverage and fear of dental work in general. I saw a few different dentists and had bad experience after bad experience until I got the recommendation to see Dr. Han from a family member who is a patient. I made my first appointment, and right away Dr. Han sat down with me to personally discuss my experience before seeing her, what my goals are for my dental health, and explained her practice and style in a way that really made sense. It was the first time that I'd ever talked to a dentist at length, and it meant a lot that she took the time out to really get to know me as a new patient! Because there is so much personal attention to my needs, I have always felt relaxed, comfortable, and taken care of in Dr. Han's office. They have helped me overcome a lot of fears around dental work, and have worked with me to provide the most comfortable dental experience I've ever had! I usually feel no pain after appointments, the appointments are fast, and the work that they do is incredible! My teeth and gums have never felt so healthy, and my fillings and crowns have been done perfectly so that it is actually more comfortable to chew and eat than before I had them done! Wow! I can't believe what a positive experience it has been to be a patient of Dr. Han and her staff. It has helped me learn that you shouldn't neglect your dental care out of fear, but that all you need to do is find the right dentist! Went there during an emergency situation after breaking one of my front tooth from a bicycle fall. Dr. Han and her staff did an awesome job explaining to me the details and giving me my options in a clear and concise manner. Dr. Han has been our family dentist since we moved to the Redmond area over 5 years ago. She is very thorough and meticulous. She's done a couple crowns for me and makes sure they fit perfectly, which they do. I like the fact she explains what she is doing and why. Her staff is always friendly and accommodating.
