Redmond Dental Procedures

Dental Procedures Redmond, WA

Dental Procedures

Our dental procedures can keep you and your family in excellent oral health, restore damaged teeth and transform your smile into something truly beautiful. At Essence of Dentistry, we understand that each of our patients’ smiles is unique and so are their health concerns. As such Dr. Han meet with each patient to discuss their health concerns and goals prior to recommending any specific dental procedures. If you live in Redmond, we invite you to schedule an appointment by calling 425-249-7789. During your examination, we can look for any signs of infection or cavities, discuss what you do and don’t like about your smile, and determine the best way to proceed.

In the past, dental work was rather rudimentary without very many options for treating or restoring teeth. Fortunately, technology has revolutionized dentistry, and there are now a variety of options for treating all types of oral health concerns. Gone are the days where teeth were pulled on a regular basis. Now, the majority of damaged or infected teeth can be saved when treated early enough. Simultaneously, if teeth do fall out there are a variety of procedures for replacing them that go well beyond removable dentures.

If you have had dental work done in the past or are currently wearing dentures and are not satisfied with the results, schedule an appointment with Essence of Dentistry. Our dental procedures use the latest in dental technology allowing us to improve the appearance and functionality of former restorations. For example, we can replace old metal fillings or crowns with tooth-colored ones for a more natural appearance. We can also treat teeth that have had a bonding procedure in the past, if the material is now looking old and dated.

Dr. Han is an expert at restorative dentistry and makes each restoration blend in with the surrounding teeth. Whether replacing an old crown or fixing a tooth that has recently been cracked or chipped, the tooth will look fantastic once done and it will be difficult, if not impossible, to distinguish the difference between the natural teeth and the restored one. There are a variety of types of dental work that can be used to accomplish this goal including dental veneers and dental crowns. Those that want to have a tooth replaced may benefit from a dental bridge, dental implants or modern dentures instead. Regardless of what procedure is necessary, we will ensure that it is completed to perfection.

At Essence of Dentistry, we also work to ensure that patients remain comfortable and relaxed while having dental work done. We can offer several types of sedation to make this a possibility. We understand that many adults have concerns over getting their teeth worked on and at times, simply need to relax. Whether you do so through sedation or friendly conversation, we are here to help. With more intensive procedures, we will ensure that you do not feel any discomfort along the way. If you live in or around the 98052 area, you can count on us to complete dental procedures in a way that looks amazing and restores the functionality of your teeth while keeping you comfortable. In March, the healthcare community was alerted to an extremely high level of Covid-19 infections in Washington State and around the globe. Through our combined efforts, the health care community and the citizens of Washington did an amazing job in flattening the infection curve. The level of Covid -19 infections are currently much lower and we are now ready to enter phase two of recovery according to our Governor and the CDC.

Our goal here at Essence of Dentistry has always been to provide a very safe place for our patients and our staff. During the past two months of quarantine our staff has attended several online educational courses and training seminars to prepare us for the gradual reentry into patient care. As a team we have decided to go above and beyond the current CDC guidelines for safe dental care services. In addition to the CDC guidelines, we will be implementing protocols that are being used in other countries that are two months ahead of us in their efforts to contain the Covid -19 infection including Korea and Taiwan. These countries have gradually returning to providing urgent and non-urgent health care to their citizens and we are learning from their successes.

For the last 15 years we have followed a high standard of modern infection control and are very proud of our efforts. Despite our exceptional standards we are investing in several new protocols and precautions. In brief, we are implementing continuing comprehensive training for our team in infection control, the best professional grade PPE available to protect our staff and our patients, new air purifier and suction equipment to control aerosols, safe electrolyzed sanitizing sprays which are more potent than bleach and management of patient flow to minimize exposure to our staff and patients. As a team, we chose to get tested for Covid-19 and the results came back negative. We will also be performing continued staff monitoring, regular temperature scans, and frequent oral antiseptic rinses. We are considering adding other testing services to our staff and patients as they become available.

Last but not least, we understand that it will take some time before a reliable vaccine and treatments are available. We believe that oral health is extremely important in the overall health of our patients. We know that oral disease is a contributor to multiple health problems. Periodontal disease is linked to chronic diseases such as Alzheimer's, diabetes, and coronary artery disease. Oral infections can compromise our immune systems and can be life threatening as well. Because we know that oral health translates to overall health we want to encourage our patients to continue in their dental care with our office at this time.

We have chosen to see this challenge as an opportunity to grow and strengthen together, thus bringing a sense of hope. “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” - Victor Frankl
